What We Believe:

· Everything is Natural
There is no credible evidence for any supernatural claims. Even the unconfirmed claims of anomalies, such the healing power of remote prayer, cannot establish a supernatural order. In an age of science and reason, it is no longer clear what coherent meaning "supernatural" can have. Even though absolute certainty is impossible, we are best served by presuming that everything is natural.

· Nature is Comprehensible
Science shows that nature follows patterns that we can understand. However, its story is too harsh for most people to accept. Tornadoes flatten churches as often as brothels. Comets occasionally strike the Earth, killing off most life. The Universe is winding down toward its doom - either in a
Big Crunch or a Big Fizzle.

· People Need Purpose and Hope
The case for a scientific worldview is convincing - and unappealing. Only a small fraction of humanity is willing to live without a sense of purpose and hope beyond the here and now. DeoLogic offers a plausible and scientifically grounded vision of human progress toward a cosmic civilization that necessarily seeks to become what we may rightly call the Supreme Being.

· Life is Nature's Wild Card
DNA instructs life to battle entropy. Indeed, all life may be understood as self-organizing patterns that seek to preserve and replicate themselves in the face of nature's growing disorder. We are the only species on Earth to discover what DNA is up to. We are, moreover, the only known species with the potential to alter the fate of the universe in favor of life.

· Hope Lies Ahead
The premises and promises of traditional religions lie discredited. New Age spiritualism is irrationality enshrined. Real hope lies not in our past, nor in our present infatuation with mysticism, but in a rational future. There, if we unite in understanding and faith, boundless possibilities await.
